Women, infant and children (WIC) is a special supplemental nutrition Program for Women, infants and children designed to provide nutritious foods, education and counseling to ensure a balanced diet and behavioral changes.
WIC program is federally funded by USDA United State Dept of Agriculture).
WIC also services as a link to other health care services by providing referrals to other Community organizations. Such as Health/hospital Centers, Medicaid/food stamps, food pantry, Day care centers, action services, etc.

Women: pregnant, Breastfeeding post partum (up to one year after delivery), non-breast feeding (up to six month after delivery).
Infants: Breast feeding is encouraged for all infants, non breast fed infants receive iron-fortified formula until 12 months of age.
Children: Children up to 5 yrs of age.

Families or working families that meet income eligibility based on family size and gross income. Income guidelines change every year.

- Nutrition Assessment based on their height, weight, blood work (anemia test) and diet assessment.
- Clients are provided free height, weight and blood work services.
- Individual counseling based on their current diet assessment.
- Group nutrition education classes on different topics.
- Nutritious foods high in protein, calcium, vitamin A, C, D and iron, fiber folate and riboflavin.
- Breast feeding education and support.
- Health care referrals.
- Immunization screening.
- Voter registration enrollment for women.
- Farmer market promotion, voucher distribution, etc.
