Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)


What is CDBG?

Our Community Development Block Grants are funded by the Union County Community Development Block Grant Program. These grants are designed to:

  • Eliminate conditions detrimental to health, safety and public welfare.
  • Reconstruct, replace, rehabilitate, acquire or construct facilities, including street, water, sewer, fire protection, recreational, parking, neighborhood centers and barrier free facilities.
  • Conserve and expand the City’s housing stock.
  • Assist in the conservation, expansion and construction of commercial and industrial facilities.

CDBG Program Year 49

Guidelines: All Applications accepted and reviewed for non-profit organizations.

Application: Publicized in September/October.

Cycle and dates: Generally accepted at the beginning of October. Public Notice is given.
